About NY USA Dance:

Yang Chen
President
In the past few years, NY USA Dance's connection to the collegiate and junior competitors in the Greater NY area has helped boost the chapter's profile as an engine for future growth in DanceSport. I have participated actively in fundraising activities that have helped to make MAC the only all-amateur event in the country that regularly awards significant scholarships to amateurs at all levels.
While MAC has continued to thrive as a major competition in the United States, the chapter has also been one of the most active in the country, running socials, workshops and other events open to the entire dance community. We have issued weekly e-newsletters to chapter members and the dance community to keep them up-to-date on various dance activities. Chapter members have also participated or appeared in news stories about ballroom dance, on television and in print. In 2005, our chapter was recognized by the National office as the top chapter in the Northeast Region (Region III). In 2007, our chapter was recognized as the Top Chapter in the United States.
Outside of the dance world, I am an attorney specializing in antitrust and complex commercial litigation.
And, yes, I pronounce my first name “young.”
